Happy Thanksgiving!

In this last week leading up to Thanksgiving I have been blessed with many reminders of what I am thankful for.

First and foremost I am thankful for a Loving God who sent his only begotten son that I might be made righteous.  You have taken me on a journey that is changing my life daily as you show me the many different ways that you manifest your presence

I am thankful for family and friends.  I may not show it properly sometimes or tell you enough but you bless me often and I love you dearly.

I am thankful for all the pastors I have met in my life.  Each one of you have taught me more about the love of God and what is required of us to share that love.

I am thankful for all the churches filled with wonderful and well minded people.  Without you so much of the work of God would have even fewer hands doing His work.

I am thankful for the worshipers.  You may do it with song, you may do it with praise, or you may do it through art and dance, but you always draw me up to seek the presence of God more in my life.

I am thankful for those that reach out to the less fortunate in our world.  I learn more about God’s love every time I work by your side.  I learn about human frailty, as well as how strong people can be in even the toughest struggles.  I learn about sacrifice and unconditional love.  I learn about reliance on God.  You inspire me to do more for those that have so little.

Today I am thankful for many things that God is doing in my life, in my friends life, and even perhaps in your life as you read this message.  I am blessed to know so many new and dear people this year that I would have never met sitting there just watching God work in others.  You all inspire me to go deeper, to do more, to love more, to give more, and to be more of what I have been created and called to be.

And I would like to close with being thankful for my loving wife April and my son Joseph.  You both inspire me daily.  You challenge me to keep moving and loving.  You inspire me with your hard work and your caring for those people in your life and mine.  I am blessed to be a husband and a father.  Thank you for being patient with me along the way.  Thank you for understanding why I am on this path and poking me when I need it.

May God bless you with many memories of what He has done in your life.  May today and everyday find you thankful for what He is doing in you and through you.

Be blessed and be a blessing to someone today.
